LOVE IS COCAINE?

DID YOU KNOW

Cocaine and being in love create the same chemical flow through your brain?

Dopamine. It is called dopamine. Being high off cocaine increases your amount of dopamine in the synapse. Being in love causes your critical thinking parts of the brain shut down and the chemical dopamine runs freely through your mind. So is being high off Cocaine the same thing as being in love????

So I know we all heard the quote, "love is blind." Well . . . . is it? It doesn't literally make you blind, but sense your thinking part of your brain supresses, we can say you simply do not think straight while we are in love. So no it's not blind in a literal aspect, but in a weird awkward different kind of way.

Have you ever heard an older person say "you are high off of love?" Well my moms throws me that line everytime I talk about my boyfriend aka baby aka boo boo chicken. My Pysch class is really taking a toll on me. I never took that saying literally but I guess I am "high off of love."

Being away from my boo boo does feel like, at least to me, withdrawals. I never felt the withdrawals of a person addicted to cocaine of couse but I do feel withdrawals. When he is away I do feel lonely and depressed. I try to do things to keep me busy and keeo my mind off of him. Of course it doesn't work. I can't stop my brain from thinking. Or can I?

SO back to the topic. So if I am in love am I addicted to cocaine? Wait that doesn't make sense because I never had cocaine. BUT am I feeling the same high as they feel? I mean its the same chemical roaming through our heads. Well love does feel good. I only want to be with him and only him. I do have withdrawals when I am not with him but am I actually high off of love?And siince cocaine is not good for you, is being in love bad?  ANSWERS PLEASE :)
